A technical publication devoted to readers in the bulk solids market, worldwide.

Webinar Details: The design of a pneumatic conveying system takes into account many different factors including the material characteristics, the overall system requirements with respect to capacity, distance, current as well as future considerations, etc. There are several different approaches available for calculating the system parameters for dilute-phase conveying — some that are more acceptable for budgetary or preliminary type analyses and others that are better suited for final designs. This webinar will provide the fundamental steps to take in developing a design basis for a dilute-phase pneumatic conveying system as well as provide alternative design approaches for determining the actual system pressure drop requirements.

Presenter Information: Jack D. Hilbert, PE, is principal consultant with Pneumatic Conveying Consultants in Schnecksville, PA, and has more than 30 years of experience in the application, design, engineering, installation, and operation of pneumatic conveying systems. He also has written numerous papers and given many presentations at technical conferences.

Can’t attend? If you register for a webinar but can’t attend the live event, an archived version will be accessible online for 30 days once it concludes. This allows you to view the entire webinar presentation and Q&A session at a time most convenient to your schedule.

PDH Information: If you are working on a certification or licensing program that allows Professional Development Hours, CSC Publishing Inc. will (upon request) provide a Certificate of Participation for our educational webinars put on by Powder and Bulk Engineering. One certificate per registered participant will be sent if the webinar is viewed. You should check with your employer or local agency to confirm their specific PDH requirements. In many cases, our educational webinars will contribute toward these hours.
