A technical publication devoted to readers in the bulk solids market, worldwide.

Webinar Details: Pneumatic conveying systems are used to convey materials that range from the finest of powders to large pieces of metal scraps or rocks approaching 3 inches in diameter. Many of the issues that pertain to pneumatic conveying are common to all materials, but there are certain issues and concerns that are more relevant to powders. This webinar will look at the conveying of powders and will identify specific issues that need to be considered in the design and operation of the system, as well as at individual components such as rotary feeders, airlocks, convey line elbows, diverter valves, and dust collectors. Recommendations for addressing these concerns in new systems as well as existing systems will be presented.

Presenter Information: Jack D. Hilbert, PE, is principal consultant with Pneumatic Conveying Consultants in Schnecksville, PA, and has more than 30 years of experience in the application, design, engineering, installation, and operation of pneumatic conveying systems. He also has written numerous papers and given many presentations at technical conferences.
