The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) has released a mobile app version of its NIOSH Pocket Guide to Chemical Hazards (mNPG). The guide is a source of industrial-hygiene information on more than 600 chemicals that workers, employers, and occupational health professionals use widely. The app works on any mobile device with an HTML5-compliant web browser, and also, offline. The app allows the user to search chemicals by name, DOT number, CAS number, or RTECS number.
