K-State BSIC launches new website
The K-State Bulk Solids Innovation Center (BSIC) has launched a new website with expanded technical information for industry professionals. The website has been rewritten to feature technical information, explaining technology and terminology critical in dry bulk solids handling. The site also includes reference information to support the industry in planning and problem-solving. The site will continue to provide information on the BSIC's available online training courses and short courses at the BSIC in Salina, KS. To learn more, click here.
AFIA updates feed manufacturing tech book
The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) has updated its Feed Manufacturing Technology publication. The book is targeted to those involved in the production and manufacturing of food for livestock, poultry, aquaculture, horses, and pets and covers topics such as employee safety and health, materials handling and storage, sanitation and pest management, and quality assurance. Authored by nearly 100 industry experts and professors with decades of experience, the book is now available in an online subscription format with the option of a printed copy. The new online edition will allow AFIA to frequently update the text to correlate with regulatory changes in the feed industry.
