Nouryon, Amsterdam, the Netherlands, has renamed its wholly owned industrial chemicals business Nobian. The change is part of Nobian’s plan to develop its integrated European value chain for essential base chemicals while Nouryon continues to focus on specialty chemicals.
Nobian produces salt, chloralkali, and chloromethanes, which are essential for manufacturing disinfectants, lightweight plastics, aluminum, pharmaceuticals, and other products. The business is headquartered in Amersfoort, the Netherlands, and has manufacturing facilities in the Netherlands, Germany, and Denmark. The Nobian brand will be introduced in a phased approach, beginning with a new website dedicated to the subsidiary.
