Nestlé Purina PetCare, St. Louis, MO, has announced that it will build its first new American factory in 45 years. The plant will be the company’s 23rd US plant and employ 300 workers in Williamsburg Township, OH. The company already has other Ohio locations in Solon, Marysville, Cleveland, Brecksville, and Zanesville. Construction is expected to be complete in 2023 on the $550 million plant for dry dog foods including Purina Pro Plan, Purina One, and Dog Chow. The facility will be located in South Afton Industrial Park and will measure 1.2 million square feet in size once complete. The company will employ professional staff, production operators, technical staff, and engineers.
