Martin Engineering, Neponset, IL, has established a new Mr. Blade service territory in the mid-Atlantic region of the US, covering Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, New Jersey, and Delaware. The service will use factory-trained, OSHA- and MSHA-certified experts to maintain bulk handling systems. The service network was launched in 2015 and delivers replacement conveyor belt cleaner blades, air cannon valves, and other products from the supplier. These products are specified and custom-fitted on-site and installed free of charge. The service will also replace the mainframe and tensioner of any belt cleaner as needed and at no cost.

The new territory is part of a larger initiative and further ser-vice expansions are planned for next year. The service program is currently in the US, UK, and Italy, and the company estimates that it’s currently maintaining about 10,000 conveyor belts around the world.

Martin Engineering is a bulk material handling industry equipment provider and has published the Foundations books, a resource for safety, maintenance, and operations training. (11/20 pbe)
