The Kansas State University (K-State) Bulk Solids Innovation Center (BSIC) is celebrating a milestone anniversary having been open for 5 years. Opening in June 2015, the center houses six laboratories for university and industry-sponsored research, a testing bay, and conference and lecture rooms. The center has partnered with several companies to provide research and consulting services ranging from small-scale sample material characterization to full-scale material handling and storage. Professional development courses are also available at the center, including upcoming topics that will cover pneumatic conveying and the storage and flow of bulk solids.
