The Kansas State University Bulk Solids Innovation Center (BSIC), Salina, KS, has launched a new online Powder and Bulk Solids Academy, which will provide the same mix of lecture and laboratory demonstrations the BSIC is known for in a fully virtual environment. Courses offered include “Basics of Pneumatic Conveying,” “Material Properties Testing and Results Application,” and “Overview of Bulk Solids Processing, Flow, and Air Filtration.” For more information on the online academy, visit bulksolids.k-state.edu.

The BSIC opened 5 years ago and is the only university facility and staff in North America dedicated to providing industrial companies with education, consulting, testing services, and research related to bulk solids. The center includes a 12,000-square-foot facility with laboratories, testing equipment, and room for client research projects.
