The Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) and Kansas State University (K-State) announced a new online training program called Crash Courses. The hour-long courses are available on-demand with the aim to supplement grain companies’ existing training programs.

Currently, the program includes three courses: Introduction to the Industry, Grain Quality Management, and Pest Control. According to Jeff Jones, GEAPS International president, “With all the challenges facing the industry this year, we prioritized getting resources into the hands of our members and the industry at large as easily as possible.”

The organization is also working on additional on-demand programming and custom training that travels to members’ facilities.

GEAPS, Golden Valley, MN, is an international professional association of grain handling and processing professionals. K-State, Manhattan, KS, has partnered with GEAPS to help bring distance education to the association’s membership. The school also offers various degrees and courses in grain science and industry.
