Delta Energy Group LLC, which specializes in recovering carbon black and other chemicals from end-of-life (EOL) tires, has announced a new president and chief executive officer (CEO), Robert “Bob” Genovese. He succeeds Jeff Flannery, who has retired as CEO after leading the company for 4 years. Flannery established the company’s first commercial-scale recovered carbon black plant in Natchez, MS. Flannery will continue to serve as a consultant to the company during the transition period. Genovese has commercial and operating expertise, including 32 years at BP in leadership roles. He has experience in refining, petrochemicals, regulatory affairs, and environmental remediation.

Along with carbon black recovery, the company uses its proprietary DEPolymerization technology to produce organic-based liquid products from EOL tires. The recovered carbon black can be used in the manufacture of tires, rubber products, plastics, and other applications.
