US-based Great Lakes Chemical is a leading producer of specialty chemicals for a range of industries, including plastics. In Persan, France, the company’s polymer additives group makes [Anox] anti-oxidants and processes [Lowlite] ultraviolet [UV] light stabilizers. The additives are used mostly in polyolefin resins during the compounding process to prevent or slow the degradation of the plastics over time.
