A bulkweighing system dispenses grain, flour, salt, gypsum, sand, gravel, or other dry, free-flowing bulk materials into railcars, trucks, ships, barges, or other vessels. The system, as shown in Figure 1, has a multiple-hopper design that allows material to flow continuously into and out of the system for high-volume loadout. During loadout, the system weighs the material with more accuracy and at a higher speed than conventional equipment that weighs both the bulk material and the receiving vessel. The bulkweighing system also provides stable data output, a certifiable weighment printout, and a historical record of the weighments.
