Agglomeration Advisor: More agglomeration tales
In the June issue, I related several of my experiences over the years with various agglomeration applications. This month, I'll highlight a few more.
The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) played an important role in developing the Tennessee River Valley power industry, which in turn assisted agricultural success in the South during the Roosevelt-era recovery from the Depression. My own early career in the 1960s focused on iron ore and steel industry pelletizing, so I didn't learn until much later TVA's importance in researching, developing, and demonstrating fertilizer granulation.
