Practical determination of efficiency of electrostatic precipitators
Electrostatic precipitators provide one of the most efficient methods of air pollution control.
Used mainly in applications with high flow-rates, the equipment is found at thermal power plants, cement plants, and pulp and paper mills. In this article, the authors review accepted theoretical methods for determining the efficiency of electrostatic precipitators. They then measure the efficiency of electrostatic precipitators installed at a pulp mill and compare the results.
