Drying Desk: More on drying with increasing particle size
This month, I'll follow up on my September 2006 column on increasing particle size in a drying system. The last column covered drying systems that use a pumpable liquid feed (a solution or slurry) to increase particle size. This time, we'll consider drying systems that use a nonpumpable feed -- that is, a dewatered cake or free-flowing solids.
