Fabric bins give glass bead producer flexible storage
When Potters Industries needed storage bins for a new line of glass beads, the company chose fabric over steel so the bins could be transported within and between plants.
Potters Industries, which has been in business 76 years, operates 17 plants in the US and overseas and manufactures glass beads between 1 and 2,000 microns in diameter. The beads are used as filler in highway reflective paint and polymers or as polishing abrasive for sandblasting turbine blades and similar machinery parts to remove corrosion and other defects.
