Volumetric feeder always adds the perfect amount of seasonings
A food processing and handling equipment manufacturer works with a feeder supplier to improve a food seasoning system’s design and operation.
Heat and Control, headquartered in Hayward, Calif., is a worldwide supplier of food processing, packaging, and product handling equipment and systems for major food producers. About 9 years ago when the company designed its FastBack Revolution seasoning system for seasoning and conveying potato chips, the company needed a feeder that would consistently and accurately meter various seasonings to ensure uniform coverage on the chips. Since the company didn’t want to use an expensive and complex loss-in-weight (LIW) feeding system, it needed to find an alternative feeding solution.
