Dust Collection: Important Considerations When Selecting a Dust Collection System, 3/13
CD of live broadcast 3/19/2013
Dust collection systems are generally intended to capture nuisance dusts emitted from a solids handling process. Significant fugitive dust accumulations in the workplace may be caused by several system design problems.
This webinar will describe the capture capability of the more common dust hoods as well as the importance of adequate duct conveying velocity in all duct branches. It will also consider the key design issues to address in the design of hoods, ductwork, dust collector, and exhaust fan, along with the importance of taking commissioning data at startup. The final topic will focus on how commissioning data is necessary for sustaining long-term system results through monitoring and maintenance.
