Vacuum conveying system washes away the competition
A company installs a vacuum conveying system to maintain a facial cleansing powder’s particle size, density, and composition during conveyance.
Pacon Manufacturing Corp., headquartered in South Plainfield, N.J., contract-manufactures and packages a diverse range of brand-name products for various clients in the consumer, medical, and industrial markets. The company operates a processing facility in Somerset, N.J., where it uses many kinds of equipment and processes to make the products. Recently, a client contracted the company to develop a process to produce a facial cleansing product. Part of the process required that a multiple-ingredient powder be conveyed to three auger fillers without degrading the powder’s particles or separating its ingredients. The company investigated several methods for conveying the powder, and, after much research, decided to install a vacuum conveying system manufactured by a Belleville, N.J., conveying system supplier.
