Vibratory fluid-bed system efficiently, gently dries mortar sand
When installing an in-house system to dry sand and cut material costs, a mortar mix manufacturer chooses a vibratory fluid bed system over a rotary dryer.
Maxi-Mix, a subsidiary of A.L.L. Masonry Construction, Chicago, manufactures a dry mortar mix. During production, a computer-controlled batching system conveys the required amounts of dry sand, cement, lime, and fly ash from storage tanks to a paddle mixer. After the mix is packaged in 2,500-pound bulk bags, trucks deliver the bags to construction sites.
