Level monitors improve the operation of soil-mixing equipment

When photoelectric eyes and limit switches failed to reliably monitor material levels in the hoppers of customers' soil-mixing systems, the system's manufacturer switched to paddle-type monitors to prevent level control problems.

Bouldin & Lawson of McMinnville, Tenn., manufactures potting machines, soil baggers, and soil-mixing systems. Customers use the company's Mix Maker continuous soil-mixing systems to mix soil composites and fertilizing nutrients to formulate a variety of blended soil mixtures.
