Boots Group refines its milling systems

The Boots Group, a UK-based health and beauty manufacturer and retailer, installed two size reduction systems at its site in Beeston, UK. The installation followed experiments that demonstrated the possibility of improving operations in one of the company's processing areas.

The company's goal was to reduce the number of steps required to mill brittle slabs of material into a powder ready for tabletting. At the same time, Boots sought to use less space, improve material handling, and improve the working environment.
