A metal powder producer installs new compact screeners to improve screening efficiency and reduce production costs.

Deloro Stellite, headquartered in London, operates a plant in Goshen, Ind., that produces various cobalt- and nickel-based metal powders using a batch atomization process. The powders are screened to achieve the customer's specified particle size distribution. In 2007, the company decided to upgrade the screeners in a scalping station and a security-check station to increase throughput rates and reduce production and maintenance costs.
