A toll processing plant installs a vacuum loading system to transfer dry ingredients from drums into a batch solution tank.

Helena Industries, Collierville, Tenn., operates a toll processing plant in Cordele, Ga., that produces various crop-protection products and provides a range of other services for its customers. For one customer, the plant produces an aqueous suspended concentrate that contains several active and inert dry ingredients. Because manually adding the dry ingredients to the liquid carrier was proving to be a challenge, the plant decided to automate the ingredient-addition process.
