Principles and applications of centrifugal sifters

Centrifugal sifter usage is expanding rapidly in terms of the number of installations and the types of applications served. While not suitable for all applications, centrifugal sifters provide substantial benefits -- particularly in terms of equipment size, throughput rate, and sifting efficiency -- than more traditional methods of separation. This article examines the operating principles of centrifugal sifters and discusses the key design parameters that affect their performance. The article also assesses the benefits and limitations of centrifugal sifters and highlights various applications.
