Spiraling, continuous-path conveyor reduces product losses and maintenance at Beecham's lozenge-manufacturing plant.

Beecham Products manufactures Sucrets lozenges -- a nonprescription medication for sore throats -- at its plant in Aiken, S. C. The plant produces millions of lozenges every year in eight colors. Last year, the conveyors in the plant's cooling room were giving Beecham engineers headaches. Unfortunately, Sucrets don't cure headaches, so the engineers had to look for a new conveying system.
