Portable bag filter dust collectors at a drug manufacturer's older facilities were inefficient. Stationary cartridge collectors at a new facility have reduced labor and eliminated collection problems.

Pro Pac Labs of Ogden, Utah, receives approximately 1,000 raw ingredients in powdered forms -- including vitamins, minerals, biochemicals, herbs, and drugs -- that vary by particle structure, oiliness, and moisture content. Forklift trucks move palletized barrels and boxes of ingredients to a warehouse and then to processing.
