Conveying resin with a turn of the screw

When a South Texas company learned the resin it used to manufacture fiberglass insulation was clogging its old drag conveyor, it found an inexpensive flexible screw conveyor to solve the sticky problem.

The more moving parts you have, the more there is to go wrong. This old adage applies to machinery of every type, including a drag conveyor used until recently by Quiet Flex Manufacturing Co., Houston. Founded in 1976, the company began manufacturing fiberglass insulation used in making flexible HVAC ductwork in 1997.
