Exwold focuses on granulating high-value chemicals

Exwold Technology, Billingham, UK, was founded 10 years ago with a simple plan: Offer granulation services to makers of high-value chemicals, especially agrochemicals. These include insecticides, herbicides, fungicides and other high-value croprelated products. James Robson, Exwold’s managing director, started the business after working at a chemical distributor that also offered contract processing. During his 6 years at that company, he learned the business and made important contacts. "I got to know the people at Monsanto in Brussels very well, and they were not happy with my former employer," Robson said. When the opportunity arrived to leave the company, Robson launched Exwold.
