About 3 years ago, several new products were developed for the animal health product line of an international pharmaceutical producer. Some of these products are therapeutic and are administered under prescription of a licensed veterinarian. They must be produced and packaged in a cleanroom environment. Because the animals treated with these pharmaceuticals will be consumed by humans, FDA- equivalent approval is required of both the production and packaging processes by each country where the products are consumed.
