When to use a grounded antistatic bulk bag

Handling dry bulk solids in bulk bags can produce electrostatic discharges. In a potentially explosive environment, the result can be a damaging dust or flammable vapor explosion. This article describes the factors that create a potentially explosive environment in your plant, how to assess your explosion risks, and one type of antistatic bulk bag that dissipates electrostatic charges using conductive fabric and a grounding device.

If you don't take proper precautions, a dust or flammable vapor explosion can occur in your bulk bag handling operation.
