Automation streamlines complex production process

The National Starch and Chemical Company's Indianapolis plant processes corn into more than 300 specialty starch and adhesive products. The plant's 22 full-time chemical engineers are constantly streamlining production processes and developing new varieties of starch for special customer needs. These starches are used in applications ranging from food processing to paper making.
