Dust Collection: OSHA Combustible Dust Update, 1/11
CD of live broadcast 1/4/11
Since October 2007, OSHA has used its Combustible Dust National Emphasis Program (CDNEP) to inform companies about combustible dust hazards and to ensure that the companies it inspects are taking action to protect employees against workplace dust explosions. Over 2,000 inspections have been completed to date.
By popular request, in this Webinar Gary Johnson will update his April 13, 2010, webinar to inform the viewers on what OSHA is looking for in its inspections. He will also review the current status of the Advanced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, which is the first step of the formal general industry combustible dust regulatory process. The Webinar will outline the broad steps in the rulemaking process with an emphasis on how companies can provide input for that process. It will also discuss how to get started in identifying and mitigating combustible dust risks in an evolving regulatory climate and preparing for an OSHA Combustible Dust Inspection. This webinar will build on the previous combustible dust webinar topics presented by Gary.
