Center works to pneumatically convey difficult products
The Macawber test center's solution to a food processor's product breakage problem prove to be worth more than peanuts.
Test center personnel at Macawber Engineering, a manufacturer of pneumatic conveying equipment, were recently approached by a major food processing company with a common food processing problem: The company wanted to pneumatically convey peanuts and other fragile food products without causing excessive breakage. The pneumatic conveying system that it purchased would have to work with the rest of its processing line while meeting product breakage specifications.
