Pharmaceutical plant's dehumidifier frees sticky summer operations
When summer humidity gummed up wrapping and bagging of hygroscopic products, installing a dehumidifier enabled consistent, year-round production.
Powers Pharmaceutical produces throat lozenges and cough drops at their Brockton, Mass., plant. After production, the lozenges and cough drops are bulk-packaged in sealed 40-pound plastic containers. Next, the containers are carried to a packaging area and emptied into wrapping and bagging equipment.
