Magnetic separators for high-purity applications
A properly selected magnetic separator can keep your operation running smoothly and improve your finished product’s quality. This article describes three types of high-strength magnetic separators and provides information that will help you determine the best one for your high-purity application.
Many applications in the ceramic, glass, chemical, pharmaceutical, and other industries are high-purity applications. That is, the raw materials used in or the final products produced by these applications can’t contain any measurable traces of ferrous or paramagnetic particles. This means that not only obvious contaminants like tramp metal chunks must be removed, but even near-invisible ferrous and paramagnetic particles must also be eliminated from the raw materials or final products.
