A producer of roadway markings updated pneumatic bag packers to improve weight accuracy.

A producer of reflective roadway products has driver safety as their product goal. At one plant, the producer makes numerous types of thermoplastic roadway marking material. Much of the yellow and white marking seen on the road these days isn't paint, according to plant engineering manager Mike Polashock. "If it looks raised, like real thick paint, it's probably a thermoplastic," he says. "Thermoplastics are much more durable than paint, and they are highly reflective. The product is first melted and then extruded or sprayed onto the road."
