Low-velocity system conveys carbon black without plugging or producing high levels of fines.

It's generally believed that carbon black cannot be pneumatically conveyed because pneumatic conveying systems plug destroy carbon black pellets, and are unreliable. At least, that has been the experience of a number of people in the US rubber industry who have tried it over the past 20 years.
