Automated level monitor tracks flour mill's inventory
Electronic level measurement system accurately and reliably monitors storage vessel levels to smooth flour mill operations and reduce risk to employees.
A southern mill produces flour for the baking industry and millfeed as a byproduct for the feed industry. A grain elevator near the mill unloads the mill's wheat supply from river barges into 14 rented concrete storage bins. The wheat is then drawn from these storage bins and moved by a conveyor to two day-storage silos. When the mill is in operation, the wheat is taken from the two day-storage silos and cleaned.
