Ethanol processor installs cyclone and venturi scrubber to collect dust
Because of fires in its fabric filter baghouse dust collectors, an ethanol processor installed metal dust collection equipment.
South Point Ethanol [SPE], South Point, Ohio, annually processes approximately 24 million bushels of corn into 65 million gallons of fuel-grade ethanol. Processing also annually produces 186,000 tons of a high-protein animal feed supplement called distillers dried grain with solubles [DDGS] and 100,000 tons of carbon dioxide gas, which is vented from fermenters and captured for beverage carbonation.
