Company develops process to manufacture dietary aid in one vessel
A Swedish firm's ability to produce a crisp end-product helps it win a manufacturing contract.
Tricum AB, Hoganas, Sweden, manufactures health foods and natural pharmaceuticals, including a fiber-based laxative, Fiberform. Tricum makes Fiberform using a wet fermentation process that it developed and patented. The process requires sterilizing that natural ingredients, mixing them, de-watering it in a roll press. A mill then reduces the press cake to granules that dissolve easily in a glass of water.
