Floralife Inc., Burr Ridge, Ill., a privately held company founded in 1944, produces flower foods, pretreatments, and other chemicals used to extend the life of cut flowers. Floralife makes four blends of powdered flower food for water qualities ranging from pure to hard water. A new product, Crystal Clear, keeps the water in cut flower vases clear.
